Had an overnight staycation in this new hotel with an awesome view of Taal Lake, Escala, last Mother's Day weekend. Sharing here my Escala experience.

The place is new yet it can already be found on waze. It could, however, be missed because you need to make a turn on a small street (before Skyranch if you are coming from Manila) before you can get to the Hotel.
The lobby has a high ceiling and has a good view of the whole hotel and taal lake. A function hall, buffet area, and pool were some of the amenities that were available when we visited. The gym and hotel restaurant were still under construction.
We had the executive room which was located at the topmost floor of the hotel. It also offers the best view of Taal lake.
The bathroom is spacious. Sink, shower, toilet with bidet and tub. Hot and cold water is available as well as toiletries such as soap, shampoo, and lotion, toothpaste and toothbrush, shower cap, shaving cream and razor. They have a hair dryer but it was located under the television.
I like the high ceiling and mirrors in this room. It makes the place look more luxurious. Also love the good lighting.
The closet has a safe, laundry bag, sewing set, iron, hangers and bathrobes.
The bathroom has a glass wall which allows a view of the room and vice versa.
Other common hotel appliances are also available. The television is huge with clear channels. I also like their vanity. Coffee, tea, mugs and glass are available in the drawer (Forgot to take a photo). Contents not included for the refrigerator.
The pool offers an amazing view in the morning, and it also gets better in the evening. The floor has lights which look like stars. Unfortunately, you can only swim until 8pm.
To cap off our staycation, I had a room service massage. They gave me their Signature massage which I kind of regret having because it consists mainly of effleurage. Only to figure out in the morning that they offer other types of massage like Thai and Swedish. The masseuse didn't even inform me.
We had a complimentary breakfast at the buffet area of the hotel. The food was so-so. My concern, however, was there were a lot of flies just hovering around the buffet area, especially at the salad section. The buffet table was also messy which made it disappointing.
The beds and sheets are good, by the way. ;) That sums up my stay at Escala Tagaytay.
