In spite of being a busy person, I always make it to a point that I give myself time to unwind. Here is where Kitchenails come to my aid. Aside from their mani-pedi services which relaxes me, the ambiance of the place also makes you feel more at home.

DIY Blooming Beverages

Starbucks just released their new recipes last February 23rd showcasing three macchiato recipes. "Decadent twists on the flavour of an all time favorite," they say. Since I'm a sucker for whipped cream, I came up with another DIY recipe from their newly released ones. Tried this at their SM Mall of Asia branch.

Iced Chocolate Hazelnut Macchiato with Whipped Cream and Chocolate Drizzle on Top. I'm not fond of hot drinks from SB nor a fan of frappe (because it gets too sweet and too cold for me) so I opted to order their Chocolate Hazelnut Macchiato, iced. I then requested for whipped cream with chocolate drizzle. While making my drink, I heard the barista say to her co-worker, "diba wala naman talagang whipped cream ito?" But hey, I paid an extra 20 bucks for that whipped cream (which sometimes, I even get for free at other branches); and the customer is always right, so gimme that. Ended up having two layers of chocolate drizzle. One on top of the ice (below the whipped cream), because the barista won't believe what I ordered at first. Then another one on top of the whipped cream.

The drink went perfect for me; even had my friend try it out as well and my friend liked it. But some minus points to the staff. I've been to other branches with friendlier cashiers and baristas. Some would even talk to you like they have known you for years and joke around a little. In this branch, it was like ordering from a fast food chain.

Kitchenails (Trinoma): The Kitchenails Experience

February 01, 2016 Phantasm Darkstar 0 Comment(s)

Got invited at the opening of a new nail salon at Trinoma: Kitchenails. I was very excited to visit their first branch at the north since their other branch is all the way at Alabang Town Center (Hello, south peeps! You should check out their branch there). As a foodie who loves to spend time in the kitchen and someone who also loves to relax at nail spas from time to time, I love their idea of fusing these two concepts together: thus, Kitchenails.

Located at the third floor of Trinoma, Kitchenails can be hard to find. Just simply follow the way to Mindanao Avenue Parking to get there.

Entering Kitchenails feels like entering a restaurant. A chef will welcome you at their reception and ask for your order. Here's a copy of their menu (click to view larger image). By the way, I chose their Easy Sunday Afternoon (Best of Entree).

What's a kitchen without food in it? Kitchenails offers a free dessert buffet for their customers as well as free drinks. Something that I have never seen in other nail spas. I love their macaroons and their melon juice.

Kitchenails cares about their client's safety and satisfaction. That's why before having my "order" they asked a series of questions so they can serve you in the best possible way.

It's cute that they use kitchen utensils for their nail services. And they refer to their services as "baking."

Having my hands soaked in a baking pan.

(Left) They use Orly products which is known to be healthy for your nails. (Right) The cuticle remover is placed in a marinade injector. Really cute. I feel like I'm back in my childhood days where we play with random kitchen utensils.

They provide a jar where you could place your accessories for safe keeping while your hands are getting "baked."

Had a great experience from Kitchenails. Will definitely come back!
Thank you Team Aldous (Blog: Aldous Ate the World) for the invite.
