Discovered another student hangout spot in Taft, Cuaderno. Sharing about their awesome and student-allowance friendly Fil-Mex dishes.

Located at 1013 Estrada Street, Malate, Manila, Cuaderno is a Filipino-Mexican Fusion and Book Café which is just a few steps away from DLSU's College of St. Benilde. The owners, Alexa and Anthony, are a couple who came up with this concept from the heart. Alexa is a bookworm and would love to share her collection with their dear customers (you can read from her collection), while Mark is a hotel chef (who also heads Cuaderno's kitchen) and his dishes are amazing.
I love the vibes that this book café gives. Did I mention that they offer free WiFi? Wall sockets are also everywhere. Their music playlist is also chill. I would say this is a perfect dine and study spot for me.
Now sharing the dishes that my friends and I tried at Cuaderno:
Strawberry Frappuccino. Sweet, strawberry flavor with wafer sticks and whipped cream.
Nacho Grande. Pica pica. Too bad they are not allowed to sell alcohol because it's near a school.
Beef and Cheese Toastadilla Rolls. There is a good amount of cheese in the rolls. Served with nachos and salsa. Reminds me of mozzarella sticks, but this is more flavorful.
Open Faced Sisig Tacos. I like how the sisig is actually crunchy and it tastes good. I believe this would also go well with rice.
Honey BBQ Chicken. Also good, the savory sweet taste is just balanced. They serve this unlimited during their happy hour (2-5pm).
Mexican Braised Ribs. Comes with lemon iced tea and rice. The braised ribs smells gastronomic upon serving. Tender and delicious with a bit of spice.
Mexican Buffalo Wings. Comes with lemon iced tea and rice. Generous amount of sauce. Tastes good. The serving to the buffalo wings can go for an extra cup of rice.
Sisig Burritos. The sisig burritos is filled with rice with margarine and sisig.
Mickey Mouse Waffles. The waffles are cute and child-friendly. They also have other designs which make it too cute to eat.
Don't forget to check out their Instagram account and tag your photos! :)
