I was Featured in The International Filipino: Model Nurses

Do you ever have those random days wherein you just get curious and start to google your own name to see what would show up? That's how I found out (just recently) that I was featured in an issue of The International Filipino. I didn't know that I was featured here. This was last 2012 when I joined a pageant for nurses. See me at page 5/12. They got my second name wrong in the interview, though. (You can zoom in on the embedded page).

DJ Snake in Manila

Last December 09, 2016, DJ Snake was live in Manila at The Palace Pool Club. I had mixed emotions about the event because it was supposed to be Neverland Manila. Neverland Manila was supposed to be a two-night rave having 17 international DJs with Martin Garrix as the headliner for the first night and DJ Snake for the second night. Street food favorite such as chicharon is what you will find at Chica's Chicharronia. They offer crispy pork meals in ala carte such as the chicharon bulaklak platter or set meals seved with rice, ensalada, and soup such as chicha bagnet with chicha flakes. Better check your blood pressure after eating this, though.

If you're looking for a complete meal at Grub Hub then try Joey's Charcoal Grill. Rice meals with a selection of grilled meat--from steaks, to seafood, pork, and poultry. They also serve side dishes that would go well with their grilled meat such as mashed potato and buttered corn kernels.

If you're looking for flavored wings at Grub Hub, then St. Mick's Wing Bar is the place to go. Their must-try is The Naked Chicken: No rubs, no sauce, seasoned and deep fried into perfection. A new favorite, however, is their Salted Egg Wings: Salted egg with curry leaves, Singapore style. Yum!

Beef and cheese galore in this Mexican food stall, Noble Comida. Barkada favorites are their nachos and quesadilla. My personal favorite is their Pimientos Rellenos: crunchy bell pepper stuffed with meat, spices, and lots of cheese.

At last, I was finally able to try the famous Mang Larry's Isawan from UP Diliman and understand why it's famous. The meat were all tender and flavorful. The sauce is good, too.

What I love about Yzzy Eats is their BFLC. That's Bacon Fried Like Chicken. Slices of fresh, uncured bacon seasoned with their special mix of herbs and spices, dredged, then deep fried just like chicken. It's crispy bacon with a good amount of saltiness and chicken breading.
