All-Time Favorites and New Items on the Menu at Chilis Philippines

Recenlty, I met up with my foodie friends to try out the new dishes on Chilis Philippines' menu. We also had some of their all-time favorites. 

Chilis Philippines is one of the places that my friends and I love to visit whether it's just for a meal or having drinks. Not only do they serve good food, the serving size is also great for sharing. I was recenlty invited to visit Chilis to try out some of the new items on the menu. I'll be sharing them with you in this post.
Here are the dishes that we had:

First up is the Southern Smokehouse Burger which is a favorite on the menu. It is stacked with premium smokehouse flavors such as bacon, cheddar, pickles, onion rings, leaf lettuce, tomato, garlic aioli, and served with a side of Chili's classic BBQ sauce. It's juicy and tasty, and I also love the different textures from the onion rings, patty, and bacon.

Alex's Santa Fe Burger (New). Crafted by Chef Alex of Chilis; it is made with avocado, swiss cheese, red onion, roasted jalapenos, tomato, pickles, cilantro, and spicy Santa Fe Sauce. I'd say it's a nicely balanced, juicy burger--it isn't too spicy; there's a kick, but the avocado and cheese tone the spiciness down a bit.

The Baby Back Ribs is their world-famous fall-off-the-bone goodness, smoked low and slow in-house over pecan wood. It is served with fries or shredded corn. The cherry cola sauce is a delectable new choice that is sweet and tropical with notes of vanilla and chipotle. Options for other sauces are original, honey BBQ, and honey-chipotle.

The Country-Style Pork Belly is another favorite. Generous portions of marinated tender pork belly grilled to perfection; served with Chili's rice, steamed fresh veggies, and garlic vinegar sauce for dipping. I enjoyed the fatty tender pork belly and the serving size is definitely filling.

Grilled Pork Chop (New). Two marinated grilled pork chops; served with Chili's rice and steamed fresh veggies. The grilled pork chops are also tender and flavorful, but it has less fat than the pork belly

A must-try and new on the menu is the Green Chile Chicken Enchilada. It is made with shredded chicken, green chile sauce, cheese, corn salsa, cilantro, house-made pico, black beans, and Chili's rice. 

The Crispy Chicken Tacos is also a favorite. It's made of flour tortillas filled with crispy chicken breast, chopped bacon, diced tomatoes, cheese, lettuce, honey-chipotle drizzle, and house-made ranch dressing. Served with Chil's rice and black beans. 

The Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadillas is a staple order among my friends and I. We love to pair it with the alcoholic drinks at Chilis. It is made of flour tortillas with grilled chicken breast, bacon, cheese, blend, and house-made ranch dressing with a kick of southwest Cajun spice. Served with sour cream, house-made pico, and salsa-ranch. 

The Smothered Chicken Burrito is another favorite on the menu. It is made with beef, cheese, house-made pico, and Chili's rice, then topped with corn and black bean salsa, ancho enchilada sauce, sour cream sauce, and cilantro. Served with black beans. 

Honey-Chipotle Shrimp and Sirloin Steak. 8oz sirloin steak with honey-chipotle glazed shrimp. Served with steamed fresh veggies and loaded mashed potatoes. You can choose how it's done. I highly recommend medium-rare.

Next are the Fajitas. Served sizzling with grilled bell peppers and onions with chipotle butter and fresh cilantro; and served with flour tortillas, sour cream, house-made pico, salsa, and shredded mixed cheese. See below for the Fajitas that we ordered:

First is the Mushroom Jack Chicken Fajita. Juicy, marinated grilled chicken smothered with Monterey jack cheese, chopped bacon, and sauteed mushrooms.

Next is the Mix and Match Fajitas Trio. You can choose three proteins to go with this fajitas. We opted for the grilled steak, seared shrimp, and grilled chicken.  I love the steak as it was perfectly done. The shrimp was succulent and the chicken was nice and tender.

For the drinks, they have a promo of Buy 1 Take 1 for the Pomegranate Margarita. A refreshing mix of Jose Cuervo Tequila, Absolut Citron, with pomegranate syrup.

For dessert, we started with the High and Mighty Pie. Heath candy pieces in rich vanilla ice cream piled high on a crushed Oreo cookie crust and drizzled with caramel and hot fudge. I thought this was a slice of cake at first glance, but it's an ice cream tower that's absolutely indulging.

We then had the Cheesecake. It is a rich, smooth, and creamy California-style cheesecake. We opted to try it with ripe mango cubes. I love the fresh and sweet Philippine mangoes. It goes well with the cheesecake.

Lastly, the Molten Chocolate Cake. This is a favorite on the menu and also among kids. A chocolate lover's delight. This is Chili's classic cake filled with a warm molten center, plus vanilla ice cream coated in a chocolate shell.
