Star Cruises has once again docked in the Philippines this summer and we (blogger best friends) had the chance to cruise along the high seas with them. In this post, I'll be sharing our cruise experience with SuperStar Virgo.

All aboard! Docking at the Pier in Manila Bay, we are boarding the 13-story ship SuperStar Virgo which is the flagship of the Star Cruises fleet in Asia.
Now that we are here, allow me to give you a virtual tour of SuperStar Virgo.
The Cabins
Majority of the ship is carpeted; the colors differ per floor/area.
Our room was the Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony. It has two single beds and one double sofa bed. This was mine and Bettina's room, which was adjacent to Richie and Mark's room. The connecting door can actually be opened, we just requested the staff to open it for us.
The cabins provide similar in-room amenities such as in hotels.
For a quick tour of the bathroom, check out this video clip:
The rooms also have lifejackets for adults. Life jackets for children and bigger-sized adults are available upon request. It is also mandatory to attend the emergency drill before we sail.
Enjoying the view of--water everywhere. Lol. It's a good time to unwind.
For a more luxurious experience, they also have suites such as this executive suite which has a bedroom jacuzzi.
Dining
One of my favorite things to do when traveling is dining. SuperStar Virgo has a lot to offer when it comes to that. Check out my SSV dining experience in this blog post: Star Cruises: Dining with SuperStar Virgo.
Recreation and Wellness
One of the things that I enjoyed with my friends here was swimming in their outdoor pool as well as their 100-meter slide.
You can also swim laps in this pool which has a current so you can practice those strokes and burn those extra calories.
You can also have a tour at the Captain's Bridge. They would be happy to share the cruise details to you and a lot more.
Sing with friends in their Karaoke Lounge or in their private KTV rooms.
Don't feel like singing? A gamer like me loves the Arcade Center of SSV.
Play mahjong or have a drink in the Diamond Club.
Another favorite spot for fitness junkies is SSV's fitness center. Have that workout that you need while cruising the high seas.
Get yourself pampered and have hair treatments in their beauty salon.
Have your introverted moment in their cozy and sophisticated library. They also provide Sudoku challenges everyday. The difficult ones kept us up, trying to solve it the whole night. Sudoku answers are released the following day.
You can also go jogging at the sun deck (there's a track)--or have this photoshoot like what I did. Haha!
Play golf or basketball early in the morning or afternoon. Just ask the staff for the ball.
Go sunbathing, watch the waves, or take more pictures at this spot. *wink*
Shopping
There are different shops inside SSV where you can buy luxury brands, Japanese-brand treats and souvenirs.
Entertainment
There's a live band in the evening by the pool and musicians playing at the lobby in the afternoon.
Took this shot in the morning. Depending on the schedule, this kiddie pool area at the rear of the ship turns into a superclub late at night.
Offering panoramic views of the ocean from a glass-fronted observatory area, this lounge holds game shows, lectures, and demonstrations. It is also a popular dance hotspot. A spiral staircase leads down to the Captain’s bridge gallery.
Zodiac Theatre hosts popular musicals, dance performances, and magic shows.
Excited to watch shows in this theatre. There are free shows and paid ones, depending on the schedule.
Vincent Vignaud Magic Show - Spirit. Europe’s top illusionist Vincent Vignaud takes you into the depths of his imagination. Get to witness a fusion of his grand illusions and performing arts that seamlessly blend well together creating a magnificent spectacle of magical moments. I love the effects as well as the stunts and tricks in this one.
We also watched another show called mythical creatures. They showcase breathtaking acrobatics that will surely put you in awe. Check out this short clip:

SuperStar Virgo is a really huge fleet which can accommodate more than 1,800 passengers. I did my best to cover its amenities as much as I can with the time that I have but this still wasn't everything. Let me know if you've been here and share your experience in the comments. :)

Disclaimer and Full Disclosure: My cruise experience at SuperStar Virgo was sponsored by Star Cruises. Glamour shots and portraits of mine were taken by Bettina Bacani.
