Mamma Mia

There's a new Italian restaurant in town and the dishes got me singing the lines, "Mamma mia, here I go again. My my, how can I resist you?"
Located on the ground floor of Uptown Place Mall, 36th Street corner 9th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Mamma Mia is a casual dining Italian restaurant which just opened last November of 2017. Together with my KTG bffs, Eatsplorations, The Pickiest Eater in the World, and Bettina Bacani, we were recently invited to try out some of their dishes. I like their chic interiors and high ceiling. I also tried to capture the Mamma Mia on the ceiling with amazed me a lot. Semi-fail panoramic shot, though.
Upon entering, you would also notice a selection of gelato that they offer, which I still have yet to try.

Headed by Chef Salvatore de Vicentis, you are sure to have delectable and authentic Italian dishes at Mamma Mia. Here are the dishes that we had:
They offered us fruit shakes and the one that I had was the grape flavor. It was really good. The strawberry fruit shake is also recommended.
Complimentary Bread. Served with balsamic vinegar and tomato dip. Freshly-baked goodness to munch on while waiting for the dishes to get served.
Baked Brie with Fried Onions and Baked Mushrooms. It's my first time to try baked brie because I usually just eat it as it is. It was so good! The fried onions and baked mushrooms are also good and they complement the taste of the brie, but it's definitely good and addicting by itself.
Italian Bacon and Meatballs Bomb. Meatballs with spicy marinara and pesto sauce, topped with mozzarella and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese baked to perfection. These bacon-wrapped meatballs with cheese are indulging.
Crema Di Tartufo Con Prosciutto Crudo. Truffle cream sauce based topped with egg and mozzarella cheese with prosciutto crudo. I'm not a fan of prosciutto, but how they did their pizza made me enjoy it a lot; especially with the egg and truffle cream sauce. What I also love about their pizza is that all of the crust contains four types of cheese: Tallegio, Mozzarella, Mascarpone, and Cream Cheese. So, if you are the type who throws away the edge of the crust, you'd better think twice before you do that.
Mortadella E Pistacchio. Cheese based pizza with mortadella, drizzled with pistachio cream sauce and topped with crushed pistachio. This one's unique--pistachio pizza. I never thought of such. My goodness, it was so good!
Spaghetti Carbonara Alla Mamma Mia. Authentic rich classic bacon and egg spaghetti with parmesan topped with green peas and sliced chicken. It got me enticed once I saw that oozing egg yolk and it did not disappoint. It was creamy and delectable.
Stinco Di Maiale. I thought it was crispy pata. It's quite like that, but the Italian version. So, if you like crispy pata, you'd definitely like this, too.
That's just a few of the dishes that Mamma Mia has to offer. Will definitely come back to try other dishes.
