Sasa Asian Cuisine

Sasa has been one of my favorite go-to restaurants whenever I am in Estancia. I was again recently invited here to try out new dishes on their menu. (See related post: Sasa)
Their best-selling dish, the Yasai Itame, is Chef Raymar's take on the Japanese dish with a Filipino twist - sauteed vegetables and seafood, generously layered between crunchy lumpia wrappers and drizzled with their special sauce.

This summer, Sasa also launched their Summer Coolers and Asian Merienda to satisfy the parched and hungry palates. Here they are:
Chicken Karaage Burger. A cool fusion of the Japanese chicken karaage, served as a burger, American-style. Also served with wasabi mayonnaise and fried garlic plus tempura vegetables and fries on the side.
Taiwanese Beef Noodles. Well-seasoned and rich in flavor. Noodles are al dente.
Pandan Pouch. Palm sugar delicately wrapped in pandan-flavored crepe.
Klepon. An Indonesian inspired dessert of palm sugar stuffed in rice ball and black sesame sauce.
Thai Halo Halo. It's very similar to our own Filipino Halo-Halo. The main difference that I noticed is the distinct taste of coconut milk.
Mango Sago. Another mango, one of my favorite Chinese dessert is finally at Sasa. Obviously my best pick. Simple yet indulging.
Finally, a restaurant highlight that they also launched recently:
Shitake Miso Pork Roll. Presented on a lechon-type stand fronting their restaurant, it comes with different sauces such as apple miso, butter garlic miso, wasabi mayo, and vinegar/mustard-based sauces.
