A new food stall, Fireplace Burgers and Ribs, had recently opened in The Corner Market at The Podium. My friend Richie (The Pickiest Eater in the World) invited me to try Fireplace with him along with our foodie friends Abet (The Food Alphabet) and Treisha (@treihavanns). Check out my blog post: The Corner Market.
Here are the dishes that we tried:
We started with the Texas Cowboy Ribs. Fall-off-the-bone tender ribs coated and marinated with hickory barbecue sauce. Served with garlicky java rice. I like how the meat is so tender that you can pull it apart just with a fork. It's sweet, tangy, and smokey. I also like how Fireplace plated their dishes.
Next is the Chicken Parmigiana. Boneless chicken leg topped with rich tomato sauce and creamy Bechamel sauce, parmesan cheese, and mozzarella cheese. Served with garlicky java rice. I was surprised that the chicken was juicy as chicken parmigiana usually tends to get dry inside. The sauce was just right, although I would appreciate having more.
The Beefy Pot Roast was my favorite among the rice meals we tried. It's beef stew infused with sweet and spicy Korean ssamjang. Served with spring onion fried rice. It's flavorful and tender, and the fried rice was delicious, too.
We tried their Chicken Rouge Roll with Creamy Mushroom Linguine for the pasta. Fireplace's rendition of chicken cordon bleu with a twist. Breaded chicken fillet with cheese, sweet ham, and smoked chorizo bilbao sausage served with creamy mushroom white sauce pasta. I like how the pasta was creamy and cooked al dente. The chicken was also juicy, with a nice flavor from the ham and chorizo.
For the sandwich, we had the Hungry Hungarian. Hungarian sausage infused with chili con carne, topped with cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese. Served on a sesame seed brioche sandwich bun. I enjoyed this and the generous amount of cheese it had.
Moving onto the burgers, first up is the Atomic Bomb. Double size 100% juicy beef patty stuffed with mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, quick melt cheese, and parmesan cheese. Served with lettuce, tomato, pickle relish, and Fireplace's signature dressing on a sesame brioche bun. The patty was tasty, with a cheesy surprise in the middle. Their signature dressing was also good.
The Black Belter is their Japanese take on the traditional American classic burger by infusing homemade teriyaki glaze and Japanese wasabi mayo dressing smothered on a sesame seed brioche bun. I like this burger's sweetness; it reminds me of the teriyaki burgers I have tried in Japan.
My favorite pick is their Hawaiian Burger. I like the torched cheese on the patty, and I love how they used fresh and sweet pineapple for this. It's also served in a sesame seed brioche bun.
These Badass Fries are enjoyable whether to share with friends or for yourself. These fries are topped with smokey barbecue pulled pork and cheese. I like its crispiness; the meat and cheese sauce makes you want to dig in for more.
Group photo with these amazing people. Thank you, Fireplace, for having us.
