Mango Tree Manila is one of my favorite Thai Restaurants, and I'm glad they are a consistent awardee of Thai SELECT.
I have mentioned Thai SELECT in my previous posts, but if you're new here and wondering what Thai SELECT is, then click here.
It's been a while since I last wrote about Mango Tree Manila in Bonifacio Global City. The current interiors look more sophisticated than before their renovation in 2019. Check out my old blog post: Mango Tree Manila
I was recently invited to private dining with foodies at Mango Tree Manila. We ate several dishes on the menu, but they are already well-known, so I would no longer include them here. Instead, here are must-try dishes menu that you may not have had before:
Miang Kham. This is a traditional snack from Thailand and Laos, which translates to "one bite wrap." The ingredients usually include chili peppers, ginger, lime, roasted coconut, peanuts, and tiny dried shrimp. You put the ingredients on the leaf, wrap it, then have a bite. It's fun to make, and you have control over the ingredients that you put in. I liked it a lot, and the combination of ingredients was surprisingly bursting with flavors. It's sweet, spicy, salty, citrus, all in one bite.
Pad Thai Pu-nim or Pad Thai with Soft Shell Crab. You may have been used to the pad thai goong or shrimp pad thai, but have you tried it with soft shell crab? It's delicious and has been my favorite dish at Mango Tree.

Khao Mok Gai or Twice Cooked Southern Thai Chicken with Turmeric Rice. This is like the Thai version of chicken biryani. Cooked with different spices, it's flavorful and sating.
Sakoo Sai Moo or Thai Tapioca Dumplings. These are steamed tapioca balls filled with ground pork and ground peanuts. It's savory, nutty, and appetizing.
