If the face mask has bands you should hold it in your hand with the nosepiece or top of the mask at your fingertips thus allowing your headbands to hand freely below your hands. https://www.connexions-tech.com/product/kn95-face-mask A used face mask should be treated as contaminated. Disinfect or boil it.
