It's nearly time for Whisky Live 2019 and I would like to share my experience when I attended last year's Chivas Regal Master Class during Whisky Live 2018. Apologies for the late post. Before sharing my experience, I'd love to make a shoutout to my good friend, Jeng (foodinthebag.com) for allowing us (Robin and I) to represent him for Whisky Live 2018. I used to go to Whisky Live with Jeng but he's now living in the states. I miss you, brother.
Whisky Live is an international premier tasting event which allows guests to try over 180+ top-notch different types of whisky, scotch, bourbons, and blends from all over the world, and so much more! In line with this event, there are also international whiskey masters who would conduct master classes for guests. It was a privilege to be able to attend the Chivas Regal Master Class led by Hamish Houliston--the Chivas Brothers brand ambassador.

For our final activity in this class, the challenge was to concoct a blend similar to the Chival Regal 12 Years.
The aroma is an important detail, too.
Here we are making our different concoctions. Hamish was roaming around, checking our work and giving out clues.
My blend won as the closest to the Chivas Regal 12 Years! And yes, I'm a competitive student. Haha!
The prize was a bottle of Chivas Regal 12 Years.
What a surprise! It's also signed by Colin Scott and Hamish Houliston.

I learned so much from this class. From Chivas Regal's history to the components of their different whiskeys.
