My family are very fond of Chinese dishes and as a celebration for my parents' 23rd anniversary, we decided to dine at Gloria Maris Greenhills.

Located at Club Filipino Avenue, Greenhills Shopping Complex, San Juan, the restaurant is divided into five dining areas: the main dining room, VIP rooms, banquet hall, dimsum dining area, and hotpot dining. There are three different menus available depending on your area: hotpot dining, dimsum dining, and fine dining.

The place has really good interiors and a wide dining area. The downside is when the place is jam packed on weekends, it loses the feel of fine dining and the dining hall can get really crowded and noisy.

Our food cravings are in the dimsum dining so we opted for that. Here are the things that we ordered:

Chicken and Corn Soup. A really good appetizer. The consistency is good and tastes just right.

Hakaw/Hakao (Shrimp Dumplings). My favorite dumpling. What I like about their hakaw is that it is generously stuffed with the right amount of shrimp. Very satisfying for a hakaw freak like me.

Birthday Noodle. I like that this noodle is saucy and it has quail eggs in it. The ingredients were also added generously and tastes good.

Beef Brisket and Wanton Noodle Soup. A single serving of this can actually serve and satiate two people. Also a good serving.

Yang Chow Fried Rice. There were four of us who shared this yang chow but we were not able to finish it because of the amount of dishes that we order. Their yang chow is also mixed with generous ingredients, especially the shrimp (which are only few in other restaurants).

Sweet and Sour Fish Fillet. The fish fillet is served with the sauce separated. The sauce is very tasty but not too sweet. The texture of the fish is soft and made just right. The good plating is also a plus.

Asado with Honey Sauce. Having this asado reminds me of having a good pata tim with less guilt. The honey sauce, with the right sweetness, is also a good combination for the dish.

Baked Pork Buns. Baked buns are a craze in Manila right now and it's no wonder that people are loving it because the sweetness of the bun and good pork filling is really addicting. The taste, softness and texture of the bun is really good that you keep asking for more.

Got ourselves a full table. By the way, we also ordered hot jasmine tea; something that you can't miss on a Chinese dining table--not to mention that it has a lot of health benefits. Their dishes are also free of MSG and non-greasy: a win-win situation for me.

Mango Pudding. After having all of these, a good dessert is what you need to complete your dining experience. I love the way that the mango pudding was molded to look like a rose.

Of course,  the mandatory groupie! ^_^
