Pioneer Street Market: The Bad Apple (16/16)

Started in 2013, The Bad Apple is taking one of nature's healthiest snacks and adding just a touch of guilt for pleasure to provide a unique and delicious experience for people of all ages. 

Pioneer Street Market: Dairy Frost (15/16)

Started out just this 2016, Dairy Frost serves the old-fashioned goodness of handcrafted frozen delights, each on especially concocted with all-natural ingredients, every bit extra creamy, and with just the right amount of sweetness. They offer delectably creamy ice cream dishes up in single serve cups or Belgian waffle cones, as well as pints or liter tubs to go. They also offer root beer float, bunwich, and other refreshing frozen treats.  

Pioneer Street Market: Pomodoro Pizza (14/16)

Started in 2013, Pomodoro Pizza brings authentic Italian cuisine and freshly hand rolled brick oven pizza at a very affordable price (as low as 139Php). Their goal is to educate all Filipinos of quality Italian dishes by serving them affordable Italian food which they will truly enjoy and to share their effective and profitable business model to other aspiring entrepreneurs through franchising.

Pioneer Street Market: Monster Burger (13/16)

Started in 2014, Monster Burger's goal is to provide the best quality burgers (100% Australian beef, no extenders, no binders) and excellent quality service, with customer satisfaction as the main purpose of their business.

Pioneer Street Market: Big Kahuna (12/16)

Big Kahuna just started out this year (2016) which aims to provide new flavors to the public at reasonable prices, themed as a Hawaiian fast casual grub.

Pioneer Street Market: Soul Potato (11/16)

Started in 2015, Soul Potato is an International comfort food place that specializes in mashed potatoes, offering familiar flavors with their own style and twist.
Chef Juno Ang and Matet De Leon, whose both husbands are chefs, are good friends and loved the idea of different potato dishes as well as serving different cuisines in one place. They then decided to put up Soul Potato here in Pioneer St Market to explore dishes that would appeal to all markets. The dream was to offer proper culinary cooked food, delicious with big servings and of course, an affordable price range.

Pioneer Street Market: Fuego Amigo (10/16)

Grilled Peri Peri Chicken and Porkchop. Tastes average.

Pioneer Street Market: Auntie May's (9/16)

Auntie May's Home Kitchen and Deli started in 2010. Their products are home-made, using the freshest and best ingredients, they do not compromise the quality of their products. Some recipes are original while some were inherited from Auntie May's mother, mother-in-law, and grandparents.

Pioneer Street Market: Current Swell Coffee Brewery (8/16)


Current Swell Coffee Brewery is a microroastery in the Philippines that offers international and local specialty grade coffee. They roast everything in small batches to keep the beans fresh. They also serve brunch food and pastries that are carefully chosen to go hand in hand with their coffee. 

Pioneer Street Market: Sonsi (7/16)


Started in 2002, Sonsi serves authentic longganisa from the different regions of the Philippines. Driven by the owners' love for longganisa, their goal is to be able to bring to Manila the best longganisa from every region in the Philippines.

Pioneer Street Market: Blended (6/16)



Started in 2015, Blended is known for its delicious, nontraditional way for serving shawarma. It was created out of love for shawarma, and the realization that shawarma does not necessarily have to be on a spit. Their goal is to provide customers with dishes created with flavors by both Middle Eastern and Filipino spices.

Pioneer Street Market: Tramezzino (5/16)


Tramezzino, your one stop panini shop at Pioneer Street Market. Tried their Steak Bacon and Blue Cheese Panini. Panini is a grilled sandwich made from bread other than sliced bread (Wikipedia, 2016). It was sating but I'm not a fan of blue cheese so I did not enjoy it very well. 

Pioneer Street Market: Jan's Kitchen (4/16)

Letting people discover European cooking and to spice up their own cooking by using their flavored sea salts, sauerkraut and/or curry ketchup. Jan's Kitchen just started out this 2016, utilizing sea salts from the Philippines flavored with ingredients all over the world. They also serve European dishes like sauerkraut and pannenkoeken, which are not easily available in the Philippines. 

Pioneer Street Market: Tasty Tucker (3/16)


Tried some of their quick bites at Pioneer Street Market. The fillings are good and heavy to the stomach. I was not able to get much background about this stall, though.

Pioneer Street Market: Bakmi Nyonya (2/16)

Started in 2014, Bakmi Nyonya's goal is to feed different nations, and promote Indonesian food in Manila. Known for their Indonesian dishes and noodles, we tried out their Bakni Goreng.

Pioneer Street Market: Thirsty Turtle (1/16)

Got invited to Zomato's Bohemian-Themed dinner party at Pioneer Street Market in Mandaluyong City. Located in Pioneer Street corner Reliance, Pioneer Street Market is open from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm on Tuesdays to Fridays, and from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays. (Closed on Mondays).
