Tried out the new menu of Main Street Kapitolyo during a foodie meetup with friends from The KTG. This Canadian Comfort Food restaurant has new delectable dishes to offer that's also affordable.

Main Street is located at 10 East Capitol Drive, Kapitolyo, Pasig City. This restaurant is just a few blocks away from my office. I would often pass by this restaurant and say that the place looks classy, giving an impression that this place might be expensive to dine at. I had the chance to dine here for the first time during a foodie meetup, and from the dishes that we had, I would say that it's really affordable--good quality and delicious dishes that are worth the price.
Sharing about the dishes that we had:
Cajun Spiced Prawn Salad. Mixed green, Cajun spiced grilled prawns, orange tarragon vinaigrette, orange segments, sliced tomatoes, parmesan cheese and white wine Dijon mustard vinaigrette. I like the freshness of the greens and the combination of the vinaigrette. The prawns are also good.
Supreme Poutine. Hand-cut fries, cumin spiced flank steak strips, cheese sauce, tomato salsa, spring onions, shredded lettuce, cilantro crema. The steak strips got me. Yum!
Double Bacon Burger. Sesame bun, house-made bacon jam, applewood smoked bacon, sliced tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, arugula. Juicy patty and bacon--what a combo!
Barbecue Burger. Sesame bun, fried onion ring, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon, barbecue sauce. I like this a lot as well as the classic cheeseburger.
Classic Cheeseburger. Sesame bun, romaine lettuce, sliced tomatoes, grilled onions, cheddar cheese, ketchup, mustard, and pickle.
Caramelized and Bleu Burger. Sesame bun, arugula, bleu cheese, caramelized onions, garlic mayonnaise.
Barbecue Chicken Pizza. Barbecue sauce, grated cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, sliced red onions, Cajun rubbed chicken and chopped cilantro. I'm not a fan of chicken pizzas but this is an exemption. It's good, even the crust itself.
Beef Shin Ragu. Slow braised beef shin in tomato sauce tossed with linguine noodles, topped with freshly grated parmesan cheese. Braised beef and pasta--tastes good and an amazing carb-protein combination.
Tomato Braised Seafood Stew. Prawns, mussels, fish, and vegetables braised in an aromatic tomato stew served with garlic bread or plain rice. I like the texture of this dish.
Steak and Fries. Grilled Kitayama flank steak, hand-cut fries, charred scallion and garlic butter. The highlight of all the dishes. I love how it's cooked medium rare and for a steak this good, I'm surprised that this only costs 390 PhP.
Chicken Fingers. Panko breaded chicken breast fillet strips with honey mustard. I like how the chicken fingers were not too thin nor too thick and the breading is just right. The honey mustard sauce is quite addicting.
Blueberry Cheesecake. Classic New York style cheesecake, served with blueberry compote. Good texture, tastes good.
Fudge Brownie a la mode. Gooey brownies topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce. My favorite pick.
Apple Crumble. Sliced apples roasted in butter, honey, and cinnamon. Baked with a crumble crust and topped with crushed graham crackers and vanilla ice cream. There's an amazing contrast of temperatures in this dish.
