Texas Roadhouse

Robin and I had our late lunch here at Texas Roadhouse one weekend when we attended an event at SMX.
Texas Roadhouse has various branches in the Metro, but the one that we dined in was located at the 1st Level of S Maison, Conrad Manila, Seaside Boulevard, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City. Texas Roadhouse is known for its steaks and ribs, and its handcrafted dishes on the menu. The interiors have an industrial style, giving off that countryside ambiance, complemented by its amicable staff who welcome you with a smile (and regularly dances to entertain its guests).

Here are the dishes that we tried:
Some of the things I enjoy from Texas Roadhouse are their complimentary bread and bucket of peanuts. Bread is good as well as the peanuts, something to keep you busy while waiting for your order to arrive.
Sangria. I love the serving of their sangria and the generosity of the red wine in this (I've encountered some bars that serve sangria with juice, to cheat the red wine they had to put it. This one is legit, though.). Finishing this on your own can actually make you a bit tipsy. Worth the price.
Country Fried Steak. Hand-battered, fresh-cut sirloin served crispy and golden, topped with brown gravy and served with mashed potato. This was good on its own and the serving is huge, though, I think I prefer the old-fashioned steak that's medium-rare inside, rather than this one which was completely well-done.
Beef Ranchero. Slow-cooked beef seasoned with spices, topped with Monterey Jack cheese, cheddar cheese, ranchero sauce, and pico de gallo served over a bed of garlic rice. This dish looks different from the one on the menu, but we don't mind because it was good. Our favorite pick from the dishes that we ordered. Can be shared by 2 people, or alone if you are too hungry.
Turtle Pie. Oreo-crusted tart filled with salted caramel ice cream topped with roasted pecans, hard cracked chocolate, and toffee sauce. This was really sweet, but the salted caramel ice cream was a good contrast of flavor. Also good for sharing.

  1. These videos are so amazing. This is the type of youtube people need to see more of. Educational, entertaining, wholesome. The only negative thing I can say is that it's too bad the viewer can't smell and taste that delicious meat. Thanks for bringing us these awesome videos,Thanks as well to my trusted meat supplier https://littlecattle.co/ for giving me the freshest meat.
