Mama Lou's Italian Kitchen's new branch is at Ayala Malls the 30th. Went there with foodie friends to try out some best sellers and new dishes on the menu.

Located on the second floor of Ayala Malls the 30th, Meralco Avenue, Ugong, Pasig City, Mama Lou's is known for its relaxing ambiance and scrumptious Italian dishes.
Here are the dishes that we had:

Complimentary Bread. Served with Pomodoro sauce and pesto sauce, this also works well with their soup.

Clam Chowder and Roasted Garlic Soup. Both are rich and creamy.

Insalata Caprese. Fresh salad tomato, carabao's milk, basil, evoo & balsamic glaze. It was good, though I'm not fond of eating many tomatoes on my salad.

Garlic and Cheese Pizza. Mozzarella, garlic, parmesan cheese. Top it with arugula, roll, and eat like a panizza. It's good.

Truffle Cream Mushroom Pasta. New on the menu. I can definitely taste the truffle in this. Also creamy good.

Arrabiata. Arrabiata sauce made with sun-dried tomatoes, oregano, and chili.

Italian Sardine. Olive oil, wild caught sardines, garlic, and basil. I was hesitant about this fish at first, but it was good. It didn't come in as malansa (fishy) with the sardines. There's a good contrast of tart and salty flavor in the pasta.

Risotto Al Nero. I'm not so much into risotto but this dish is my favorite pick among all those served on the table. Made black with squid ink and some aioli in the middle. It's delectable.

Buttered Risotto. This risotto is also good and is a must-try according to my friend, Richie (www.thepickiesteater.net). I still like the risotto al nero better.

Marbled Rib Eye Steak. Exceptional tenderness imported from Australia.

Chicken Fra Diavalo. Oven-roasted chicken with rosemary, garlic, oregano, chili in extra virgin olive oil.
