We were going on an out-of-town road trip with my foodie friends that was organized by Harvard (AlwaysHungry.ph) one Saturday morning. Before leaving Manila, we decided to drop by Mongelica Pares and Mami Hub to try out their dishes.

Located inside City Golf Plaza, Julia Vargas Avenue, Ugong, Pasig City, I'm glad that there is an available Pares and Mami Hub near the Ortigas Business District. Since we came here as a group, we were able to cover almost everything on the menu.
Here are the dishes that we have tried:
First up is the one that you come for when you go to a Pares hub, the Beef Pares with Garlic Rice. Whenever I eat pares, I am quite particular with the sauce. I want it viscous and rich in flavor. It tastes great and the beef is tender. Mongelica did not disappoint me.
The Spicy Pares Fried Rice with Egg and Tomatoes were as good as the beef pares with garlic rice. The egg is a plus but the fried rice is good enough to stand on its own. It was not too spicy as well, it was just right to give that hot aftertaste.
Beef Pares Mami. It was my first time to try out a combination of beef mami and beef pares. It tasted savory and sweet at the same time. The noodles were al dente and all the ingredients go well together. This is my favorite among the pares dishes that we had.
Pork Belly Adobo. The pork belly  adobo is served with plain rice and fried egg.
Beef Bulalo. The bone marrow just looks so good but I was not able to try this one. The serving is good for sharing.
Togue Lumpia. A healthy side dish that is also good.
Pork Siomai. It's rich in meat. I love it with the chili garlic.
Grilled Pork BBQ and Chicken Isaw. We ordered these two from the variety of grilled dishes that they offer. Since we took a while taking photos of our food, I would say that their grilled dishes are definitely tender even when it has cooled down.
Chicharon Bulaklak. Crispy and good for sharing. Also goes well with the beer that they have.
Tokwa't Baboy. I'm not much of a fan of tofu dishes but this tastes good and the pork and tofu are crispy.
Classic Sisig. I love their sisig. It's crispy with a generous amount of chicharon. It's good for sharing but I could definitely have this all to myself.
Pancit Canton. They offer solo or for sharing sizes. Also served with generous amount of ingredients.
To cap off our delectable meals, we had the Mais con Hielo for dessert. It was just right, not bland nor too sweet. Also a good merienda for this humid weather that we have.

For someone who lives in Pasig, I now know where to go whenever I would crave for Pares.
