Went on a road trip with The Kain Tulog Gang up north for our Isdaan Road Trip (See: Isdaan Floating Restaurant) and we had an overnight stay at La Maja Rica in Tarlac City. We checked-in in their new wing and the rooms are amazing.

Located along McArthur Hi-way, La Maja Rica is hard to miss if you are traveling up north. It's known as one of the affordable hotels for backpackers. The last time that I have been here was a few years back and it only had two floors. They recently opened up a new building and offer new, modern and sophisticated, yet still affordable rooms.
Sharing about my room:
Premier Standard
Cozy and clean air-conditioned room. Cable television, refrigerator, water heater, safety box, closet, study area and free Wi-Fi. Hot and cold shower, with toiletries and fresh towels. What I love about my room is the sophisticated look and the bed. It's very comfortable, from the mattress to the sheets and the generous amount of pillows. The next thing that I like is the television because of the HD channels that they have. Most hotels outside Manila provide limited channels in their television and average quality. The HD movies and the comfy bed make you want to extend your stay here. Down side, I was looking for a hairdryer. I did not bother to ask but the management said it was available upon request.
Featuring another room:
Presidential Suite
La Maja Rica's Presidential Suite is best for special occasions such as weddings. It's spacious with its own kitchen and counter, living room, and master's bedroom. Hot and cold shower and jacuzzi in the bathroom. The best part, it only costs as much as booking a deluxe room in a 5-star hotel room in Manila.
Cafe Maja Rica
Located by the pool, Cafe Maja Rica offers a variety of dishes to the hotel guests. Their best sellers are the following:

Seafood Pomodoro.

Barbecue Beef Fajitas.
Sisig Kapampangan.
Taco Salad.
Lechon Kawali.
