We explored Lio Tourism Estate as we visited the paradise of El Nido. With new airport, seaport and transport terminals within the estate, this is definitely the best place to stay in El Nido.
Lio Tourism Estate is Ayala Land's first tourism estate located in the paradise of El Nido, Palawan, master planned as an integrated resort community with hotels and resorts, commercial establishments, residential communities, amenities and facilities for eco-adventure and leisure travelers. The development is guided by principles of sustainability and inclusive growth ensuring least impact to the environment while benefiting the local community.
With a total gross land area of 325 hectares, can you just imagine what they would put in this place once it's fully developed? Utilities are all underground and designed for full build-out. Manila Water and Globe infrastructure are operational within the estate.
Having my millennial selfie! I love the serenity of the shore, and that it is not crowded. Also, my Globe data signal is on LTE. Yay! This is just a short walk from our hotel, Casa Kalaw. (See post: Casa Kalaw)
You can also have some food tripping inside Lio because they have a lot of good restaurants in the estate. (See: Must Try Restaurants in Lio) Retail shops are also available.
In line with their principles of sustainability, we had a tour in Lio's Farm where they grow the greens that they use in the restaurant (mainly in Casa Kalaw). The leftover food was recycled and made into fertilizer for the El Nido soil. Another good thing is that everything is organic.
We also visited the pig pen on the farm. These are the pork that they serve in Lio.
The next place that we visited is the lagoon inside Lio.
You can either go rafting....
or kayaking.
Either way, you'll enjoy the serenity of the place. I also like the part where we had to pass through a small hole to get here. A good way to appreciate nature.
Or if you prefer the beach, you may also kayak here of simply enjoy the awesome sunset.
You may try paddle boarding as well. As much as I wanted to surf, the waves here are very calm.
Or why not try to mix the two? I think this is a perfect way to watch the sunset. This is just a glimpse of what's in Lio Tourism Estate. To know more, visit their website: Lio Eco-Tourism Estate
